Eight students at Saint Mary Seminary will be admitted to candidacy for ordination as deacons and priests for service to the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland during a Mass on Sept. 11 at the seminary. An additional seminarian from the Diocese of Youngstown also will be admitted for candidacy.
The candidates from the Diocese of Cleveland are Christopher Lawrence Cotone, Anthony Aaron Donatelli, Jeffrey Levance Lindholm, James William Livingston, Joseph Francis McCarron, James Alexander Parisi, Luke Henry Rose and Kyle Jacob Rosser. The candidate from Youngstown is Travis David Seagraves.
The men are in their first year of theological study and priestly formation. During the liturgy on Sept. 11, they will publicly announce their desire to bind themselves to the service of God and his holy people and to complete their human, spiritual, intellectual and pastoral preparation.
Father Mark Latcovich, president-rector of Borromeo and Saint Mary seminaries, will accept the men as candidates for the sacrament of holy orders as they continue their discernment and formation for the diaconate and priesthood for service to the Diocese of Cleveland and the Diocese of Youngstown.
