The Culture Project offers free Restore Culture weekend workshop Sept. 25-27

News of the Diocese

September 16, 2020

The Culture Project, which is beginning its second year of ministry this fall in the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland, invites everyone to experience more than 100 virtual workshops from 70-plus experts at the free Restore Culture Workshop Sept. 25-27. Participants will learn how to respond and restore culture – beginning with themselves – in their local communities.

Among the speakers will be Philadelphia Archbishop Nelson Perez, former bishop of Cleveland. Also joining as conference speakers from the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland will be Father Ryan Mann, administrator of St. Basil the Great Parish in Brecksville, and Jen Ricard, executive director of Theology of the Body Cleveland. There also will be Spanish speakers and presentations.

Talks will be presented on life, love, family and holiness, as well as testimonies from young people. Topic-based workshops will include sex, chastity and Theology of the Body; pornography; reproductive health issues; health and restoration; identity and social issues. State-of-life workshops will focus on single and dating; married; divorce; parent and guardians; college/20 and 30s; adults and pastoral.

The event will offer sessions of interest to those who are married, single parents, guardians of young children, educators, clergy, campus ministers and more.

The Culture Project, which is presenting the weekend event, is an initiative of young people working to restore culture through the experience of virtue. They proclaim the dignity of the human person and the richness of living sexual integrity.
