The Catholic Community Foundation is announcing the appointment of Father Steven Brunovsky to its board of directors.
Father Brunovsky, a Cleveland native, is pastor of St. Hilary Parish in Fairlawn.
He is a graduate of Borromeo College and Saint Mary Seminary and Graduate School of Theology.
Father Brunovsky was ordained to the priesthood for service to the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland on May 30, 1992. His first assignment was as parochial vicar at St. Paul Parish in Akron. He also served as parochial vicar at St. Mary Parish in Hudson and St. Francis Xavier Parish in Medina prior to his March 15, 2007 appointment as the fourth pastor of St. Hilary.
“As we continue to move through a time when parishes are directly impacted by safety and social distancing guidelines, and many of the faithful are engaging in parish life through live-streamed worship, we are grateful for the insights and wisdom that Father Brunovsky brings to our board,” said Patrick Grace, executive director of the Catholic Community Foundation.
The foundation’s board of directors is under the direction of the bishop of Cleveland and is responsible for providing leadership to the Catholic Community Foundation while demonstrating a commitment to its mission, vision and programs.
Established in 2000, the foundation is dedicated to enriching faithful philanthropy. It supports the mission of the diocese to provide for the spiritual, educational and charitable needs of people throughout Northeast Ohio. Sinces its inception, the foundation has raised more than $500 million to support Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland, Catholic education, priestly formation and other ministries in the diocese.
