Because of the coronavirus pandemic, a memorial Mass will be scheduled at a later date for retired Deacon Lindley W. Pennypacker.
Deacon Pennypacker, 76, died on Dec. 1.
He is survived by his wife, Frances (Premura), children and grandchildren.
On May 2, 2009, Bishop Richard Lennon ordained him to the permanent diaconate for service to the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland.
Deacon Pennypacker was assigned to St. Matthias Parish, Parma, where he served until his retirement on May 30, 2012. He focused his diaconal ministry on evangelization, working with the Alpha program at St. Matthias. In retirement, he continued his ministry to those grieving at the local parish of Our Lady of Lourdes in Florida.
He will be buried in Florida.
