Clergy assignment changes -- March 2021

Father Kevin Klonowski, parochial vicar, St. Joseph Parish, Strongsville, was appointed chaplain of the Cleveland/Archbishop Fulton Sheen Catholic Medical Association Chartered Guild, effective March 1. The appointment is in addition to his assignment as parochial vicar of St. Joseph Parish, Strongsville.

Father Russell Lowe received permission to conclude his authorized leave of absence for sick leave and resume his duties as pastor of Our Lady of Angels Parish, Cleveland, effective March 8.

Father John Chlebo concluded his appointment as administrator, Our Lady of Angels Parish, Cleveland, effective March 8. Father Chlebo continues his appointment as pastor, St. Christopher Parish, Rocky River.

Father Anthony Marshall, SSS, with the permission of the Very Rev. Anthony J. Schueller, SSS, provincial superior of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament, was appointed parochial vicar of St. Christopher Parish, Rocky River, effective March 8.

Father Francis J. Basa, senior parochial vicar, St. Bernard Parish, Akron and St. Mary Parish, Akron received permission to retire, effective July 1. In addition, Father Basa was granted permission to reside at St. Bernard Parish, Akron, effective July 1.

Father Joseph P. Boznar, pastor, St. Vitus Parish, Cleveland, received permission to retire, effective July 1.

Father John Burkley, pastor, St. Edward Parish, Parkman and St. Lucy Mission, Middlefield, received permission to retire, effective July 4.

The diaconal assignment of Deacon Robert C. Bender, St. Vincent de Paul Parish, Akron concluded and he was granted retirement status, effective July 1.
