When Judas left to betray Jesus, we read, “It was night.”
But night is sometimes when we see the light more clearly. A very dark night is needed to see the light of the stars in the sky.
Perhaps that is why Jesus then said, “Now is the Son of Man glorified, and God is glorified in him.”
It is only through the night of the passion of Jesus that will make the brightness of the Resurrection stand out as the beginning of a new day for us.
If it is night for you, look for the light of God to be seen in some powerful way. Great patience is sometimes required.
