“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” Luke 2:14
These words of the angel and heavenly host at the crib of Jesus remind us that God so loved the world that he gave his only Son so that we might have eternal life. The birth of Jesus is truly the greatest gift to humankind through which we deeply experience the Father’s love for us. The Christ Child is a profound gift to all of us: God comes to us in Jesus. After all, the name, Emmanuel means, “God with us.” (Isaiah 7:14)
