Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland, was granted another three-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities for its behavioral health and job and career training services programs.
“We are very proud to receive another three years of accreditation through CARF,” said Patrick Gareau, president and CEO of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland. “Our organization is committed to providing the highest level of service to our clients and continues to look for ways to improve the delivery of our services. Of course, none of this would be possible without our employees’ hard work and dedication, whose commitment to our mission allows us to obtain such achievements as this.”
CARF was founded in 1966 as an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services in the following areas: aging services, behavioral health, child and youth services, employment and community services, vision rehabilitation services, medical rehabilitation and opioid treatment programs.
Catholic Charities has been accredited through CARF for its behavioral health programs since 2010. This is the first year its employment services also received the distinction. Catholic Charities’ officials said the accreditation reflects the dedication to maintaining a high standard of practice for behavioral health and employment services. The programs receive deemed status with OhioMHAS because of their CARF accreditation. Funders of the programs also recognize and appreciate the benefit and commitment to accreditation, Catholic Charities officials added.
Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland, is one of the largest comprehensive health and human services organizations in the region. It delivers more than 150 services at 60 locations to more than 400,000 individuals each year throughout the eight-county Diocese of Cleveland.
