Jesus was honest about the source of his power and said: “Amen, amen, I say to you, the Son cannot do anything on his own, but only what he sees the Father doing; for what he does, the Son will do also.”
We should take a wholesome joy in our accomplishments: the work we have done, the lives we have touched, the families we have raised, etc. However, without God, we can accomplish nothing. In fact, without God we would not even exist. No good thing happens apart from God.
We should give credit where credit is due. All glory and praise to God, who has accomplished all we have done. (Is 26:12)
