Catholic cemeteries set indoor, outdoor Memorial Day Masses

Catholic Cemeteries Association, Diocese of Cleveland, once again has scheduled Masses at several of its cemeteries on Memorial Day, May 29. Most Masses will take place outdoors. In a few cases, they will be indoors or in a church.

Father Luigi Miola, pastor of St. Martin of Tours Parish in Maple Heights, will celebrate Mass at 10 a.m. in the mausoleum at All Saints Cemetery, 480 Highland Road, Northfield. Assisting him will be Deacon Raymond Daull, also from St. Martin of Tours.

Father Frederick Pausche, pastor of St. Gabriel Parish in Concord Township and presbyteral moderator of St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Fairport Harbor, will celebrate an outdoor Mass at 10 a.m. at All Souls Cemetery, 10366 Chardon Road, Chardon. Concelebrating will be Father David Majikas, pastor of St. Augustine Parish in Barberton and presbyteral moderator of Immaculate Conception Parish in Akron.

At Calvary Cemetery, 10000 Miles Ave., Cleveland, Auxiliary Bishop emeritus Roger Gries, OSB will celebrate an outdoor Mass at 10 a.m. Concelebrant will be Father Thomas O’Donnell, a retired diocesan priest.

Father Frank Kosem, a retired diocesan priest, will celebrate Mass at 9 a.m. in the mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery, 565 N. Ridge Road W., Lorain.

Father Thomas McCann, a retired diocesan priest, will celebrate Mass at 10 a.m. outdoors at Holy Cross Cemetery, 100 E. Waterloo Road, Akron.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. outdoors at Holy Cross Cemetery, 14609 Brookpark Road, Brook Park, by Father Joshua Cochrac, parochial vicar at St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Parma. Assisting him will be Deacon Dan Galla, also of St. Charles Borromeo.

Father Robert Kraig, a retired diocesan priest, will celebrate an outdoor Mass at 10 a.m. at Resurrection Cemetery, 6303 Center Road (Route 303), Valley City.

An indoor Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. by Father Gerald Keller, a retired diocesan priest, at St. Joseph Cemetery, 32789 Detroit Road, Avon.

Father James Mayer, O de M, pastor of St. Rocco Parish, will celebrate Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Rocco Church, 3205 Fulton Road, Cleveland.

Father Ralph Hudak, pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Cleveland, will celebrate an indoor Mass at 9 a.m. at St. Mary Cemetery, 4720 E. 71st St., Cuyahoga Heights.

Celebrating a 9 a.m. Mass in St. Agnes Church, 611 Lake Ave., Elyria, will be Father Charlie Diedrick, St. Agnes Parish administrator and pastor of St. Mary Parish, Elyria.

Father Ryan Cubera, pastor of St. Mary of the Falls Church, will celebrate Mass at 8:30 a.m. in the church.

Those attending outdoor Masses should bring a lawn chair and an umbrella in case of inclement weather.
