“All are invited to experience the peace and serenity of Night Prayer,” said Father Damian Ference, vicar for evangelization and director of the Office of Parish Life and Special Ministries. He said Night Prayer, an ancient prayer, is a brief – yet meaningful – way to conclude the day.
“‘Nine Nights of Night Prayer’ is a unique opportunity to open up nine of our beautiful churches in the evenings for an experience of beauty, community, Scripture and tradition,” Father Ference added.
“Black Madonna” is the special new ice cream flavor crafted by Country Parlour Ice Cream Co. of North Royalton for this round of Nine Nights of Night Prayer. The company has created a Madonna-themed ice cream flavor – with input from Father Ference – for each round of Night Prayer. The new flavor, an homage to the Black Madonna of Montserrat, is dark chocolate ice cream with black cherries.
