The third video in the diocesan pro-life series, Faith & Healing, has been released. The story highlights the Gabriel Project at St. Raphael Parish in Bay Village, a program that assists women and families facing an unplanned or challenging pregnancy, so they feel empowered to choose life for their unborn child.
The diocesan communications team designed the Faith & Healing series to demonstrate how the Catholic Church walks with people during all aspects of pregnancy including those seeking forgiveness and healing related to a past abortion.
The Gabriel Project is available in more than 25 states across the country and the diocesan video includes insight from the first mother helped by the program at St. Raphael Parish, which is the result of nine months of planning and relies on more than 40 volunteers who do everything from assembling cribs to delivering diapers. The program also was featured in the September/October edition of Northeast Ohio Catholic.
Other Gabriel Project ministries in the Diocese of Cleveland include St. Ambrose in Brunswick, St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Wooster and Holy Trinity in Avon.
