Visitation for the late Father Joseph C. Pednekar, MSFS will take place 9:30-10:30 a.m. Feb. 23 in St. Patrick Church, 4427 Rocky River Drive, in Cleveland’s West Park neighborhood.
Auxiliary Bishop emeritus Roger Gries will celebrate Father Pednekar’s funeral Mass at 11 a.m. that day in St. Patrick Church.
Father Pednekar, 93, died on Feb. 14.
He was born in Goa, India to the late Shevanti and Sonu Pednekar, the second youngest of 12 children.
Father Pednekar was a member of the Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales and served for more than 60 years in the United States. He was ordained a priest on Oct. 3, 1962, and was sent to Rome to further his studies before coming to the U. S. and landing in Cleveland. During his time in the diocese, he served at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, St. Phillip Neri Parish in Cleveland, St. Mary Parish in Chardon and St. Brendan Parish in North Olmsted. He ministered at St. Patrick Parish in West Park for more than 30 years.

Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brook Park.
