Focused on building the capacity of our Catholic schools, and a direct result of the Keeping the Faith Strategic Plan, this high-energy seminar highlighted tried and true tactics proven to positively impact enrollment and boost retention.
Seminar presenters included Michael Suso, Director of Marketing – Catholic Schools, Joseph Waler, 44-year veteran Catholic school administrator, and Dom and Cassidy Mann of DM Productions, a full-service video production company focused on serving Catholic organizations.
Suso, nearing his one year anniversary in his role with the diocese, unveiled a comprehensive school marketing plan and toolkit. This plan will serve as the foundational marketing strategy to assist Catholic elementary schools concisely and effectively communicate their brand of irresistibly Catholic and academically excellent education in Northeast Ohio.
With school culture playing a vital role in marketing and branding, Waler discussed the importance of cultivating a school community of faith and learning focused on joyfully meeting the wants of prospective parents and students. The Mann’s/DM Productions shared foolproof techniques that schools could use to supercharge their digital media, while also stressing the importance and unparalleled impact of video content.
The seminar ended with a DM Productions video giveaway to one lucky school, a $5,000 value. St. Anthony of Padua School in Lorain was the big winner, and how appropriate as this seminar took place on the feast day of St. Anthony of Padua.

“In the same way that Christ invited people into a relationship with His Father, successful school marketing begins with an invitational encounter,” commented Suso.
