"United in faith. In hope. In love” is the theme for The FEST 2025. The 25th annual event, a celebration of faith, family and fun, will take place Aug. 3 at the Center for Pastoral Leadership, 28700 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe. Doors open at 10 a.m. Music and activities begin at noon. Admission is free. Limited on-site parking is available, with handicap parking nearby. There are free courtesy cars and free shuttles from off-site parking areas.
The highlight of The FEST will be the closing Mass, celebrated by Bishop Edward Malesic.
Throughout the day, event attendees will have opportunities for reconciliation and adoration. The rosary will be prayed throughout the day and family blessings will be offered.
There will be activities for children, including games, crafts and more.
Well-known musicians Maverick City Music, Danny Gokey, Ben Fuller and Seph Schleuter will provide live entertainment throughout the day.
The Marc’s Moms Station and Man Cave will be back with giveaways. There also will be raffles and drawings all day.
FEST guests can purchase a variety of food, snacks and beverages from on-site vendors. Offerings include hot dogs, brats, burgers, chicken and sub sandwiches, fresh fruit, ice cream, cookies, kettle corn, smoothies and more.
Father Bob Stec, pastor of St. Ambrose Parish in Brunswick, conceived the idea for “Home From Rome,” a celebration to welcome home the diocesan contingent from World Youth Day in Rome. It was so popular – attracting more than 3,000 people – that it became an annual event, with Father Stec continuing to oversee the festivities. He relies on a group of people, many of whom are longtime volunteers, to help produce the event.
“The heart of The FEST this year is celebrating the great people who have helped bring The FEST to life and those who have literally grown up through The FEST,” Father Bob said.
