The Catholic Community Foundation hosted its eighth annual Professional Advisors Seminar on Oct. 7 at the Diocese of Cleveland’s downtown offices. About 60 professionals from the legal, tax, insurance and wealth management fields came together for the continuing education event and networking opportunity.
The program consisted of a panel discussion on health care directives from the Catholic, legal and medical perspectives. Guest moderator was Judge Laura Gallagher, a member of the Cuyahoga County Probate Court bench. Panelists sharing their professional insight and experiences were Father Joseph M. Koopman, a professor St. Mary Seminary; Elizabeth Klucher Reynolds, an attorney with Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLC; and Dr. Charles Garven, Sisters of Charity Health System (retired), Cleveland Clinic and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
The next program topic offered was by Chris Anderson, a certified public accountant with Maloney + Novotny LLC. He gave an overview of the recently approved “One Big Beautiful Bill Act.”
Rounding out the seminar was a presentation on Medicare planning by Matt Miklos of UROne Benefits. Miklos gave a simple explanation of the often-confusing topic.
