There’s still time to register for the annual Catholic Men’s Fellowship of Northeast Ohio Conference on March 7. Advance registration deadline is Feb. 23, but event-day registration will be offered, if space permits. However, conference organizers said there is no guarantee because space is limited.
The daylong event will take place at the Holiday Inn Independence. It begins with registration and a continental breakfast at 8 a.m. Conference events start at 8:45 a.m. There will be time for lunch and confession at noon.
Speakers will include Bishop Edward Malesic, Pete Burak, vice president of Renewal Ministries, and Father Damian Ference, diocesan vicar for evangelization.
The bishop will speak at 3 p.m., before celebrating the closing Mass at 4 p.m. Priests and deacons are welcome to vest for the Mass.
The conference is open to men of high school age and older, with speakers’ message applicable to men at all phases of life, including single, married, divorced, widowed, active and inactive Christians and men of no or differing faith traditions.
Cost is $55 for a single reservation. Groups of eight or more are $50 each and reserved tables of eight can be purchased for $450. There is no charge for priests, deacons, religious brothers and seminarians. Those registering are asked to select a lunch preference: turkey sandwich, Italian sub or a vegetarian/gluten-free salad. They also are asked to indicate if they plan to attend the closing Mass.
Online registration is preferred. For more information or to inquire about assistance with the entry fee, call 216-633-3502 or email CMFNEOHelp@gmail.com.

Conference organizers said the event will help re-energize men’s spiritual lives, help jump-start their relationship with Jesus and provide an opportunity to bond and share with other Christian men.
CMFNEO is a nonprofit organization that helps men grow in relationship with Christ and one another as members of groups of men who meet regularly. It provides ongoing support to men who lead men's groups by helping them with available resources. The group also sponsors a large men’s conference each spring.
There will be a 50/50 raffle and a T-shirt sale to help defray conference costs.
