Today, Jesus teaches us another important lesson about prayer: we must ask.
He tells us to ask, to seek, and to knock—promising that those who do this will receive, find, and have the door opened to them. How often do we fail to receive simply because we never ask?
At the same time, Jesus reminds us that God does not always give us what we want. Instead, God gives us what we truly need—even when we do not immediately recognize it. So we are invited to trust and to persevere: to Ask, to Seek, and to Knock.
