Assumption Academy in Broadview Heights is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic 2nd Grade Classroom Aide to join our school community for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a 30-hour per week position supporting our second-grade classroom teacher and helping create a positive, faith-filled learning environment where every child can thrive.
Responsibilities * Assist the classroom teacher with daily instruction and classroom activities. * Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning. * Help prepare instructional materials and organize classroom resources. * Supervise students during classroom transitions, lunch, recess, and other assigned times. * Foster a safe, respectful, and welcoming classroom environment. * Support the mission and Catholic values of Assumption Academy.
Qualifications * Experience working with elementary-aged children is preferred. * Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, students, and families. * Positive attitude, flexibility, and a genuine love of working with children. * Must successfully complete all required background checks and VIRTUS training in accordance with the Diocese of Cleveland.
