The Opportunity: Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School, a thriving, coeducational Catholic college preparatory high school sponsored by the Sisters of Notre Dame, seeks a collaborative and engaging Academic Coach for English to challenge and support our students as they pursue academic excellence and prepare students for lives of leadership and service. This position is ideal for a teacher new to the profession or a recent retiree who enjoys supporting students without the external demands of lesson planning and grading.
The Academic Coach for English provides personalized academic support to high school students, helping them reach their full academic potential. Working with students individually and in small groups, the coach tailors instruction to meet students' specific needs, fosters the development of executive functioning skills, and reinforces classroom learning. The coach works closely with students, teachers, and parents to ensure academic growth and success.
About the Academic Success Center: In its ninth year, the NDCL Academic Success Center provides access to individualized student coaching across the disciplines. The center, which is housed in the Sisters of Notre Dame Learning Commons, includes nine academic coaches who offer one-on-one and small group coaching sessions. Nearly 97% of NDCL students have an enhanced learning block as part of their academic schedule.

Qualifications:
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in education or English.
- Appropriate teaching licensure from the State of Ohio.
- Strong knowledge in the subject area of specialization—English.
- Proven experience in tutoring, teaching, or academic coaching preferred.
- Familiarity with Canvas or other learning management systems preferred.
