Classroom Aide: Sts. Joseph & John School

Saints Joseph and John School is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and enthusiastic Teacher Aide to join our outstanding Catholic school community. The Teacher Aide works collaboratively with classroom teachers to support students academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually while helping create a safe, engaging, and faith-filled learning environment. Essential Responsibilities Assist classroom teachers with daily instruction and learning activities. Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce academic concepts. Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment. Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, recess, arrival, dismissal, and transitions as assigned. Encourage positive behavior and support students' social and emotional growth. Prepare instructional materials, organize classroom resources, and assist with general classroom tasks. Maintain confidentiality regarding student information. Communicate professionally and collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and families. Support the mission, values, and Catholic identity of Saints Joseph and John School. Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or supervising teacher.

Qualifications Experience working with children in a school, childcare, camp, or similar setting is preferred. High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Positive attitude, flexibility, patience, and dependability. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Commitment to supporting a faith-filled Catholic educational environment. Must meet all Diocese of Cleveland employment requirements, including successful completion of Virtus Safe Environment training and required background checks.
