Position: Girls Golf Head Coach

Position Summary

Archbishop Hoban High School is seeking a Girls Golf Head Coach to join our Athletic Program. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, a track record of successful coaching, and a commitment to total program development. Additionally, the candidate will coach golf in support of the mission of Archbishop Hoban High School and incorporate our core values into the program.

This is a seasonal stipend position.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the development and overall vision of the girls golf program.

• Maintain standards of team behavior and uphold team rules and expectations.

• Promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, discipline, and respect.

• Demonstrate solid knowledge of player development specific to high school golf athletes.

• Demonstrate commitment to the program while holding all students and adults associated with the program to the same high standards.

• Utilize a variety of instructional techniques to meet the needs of and improve the abilities of student-athletes.

• Coordinate the development and promotion of the girls golf program.

• Supervise practices and competitions while fostering both individual and team development.

• Maintain golf equipment.

• Attend staff development meetings, clinics, and other professional development activities to improve coaching performance.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.

Position Qualifications

• Active Ohio Pupil Activity Permit or the ability to obtain one.

• Successful completion of required online coaching training modules.

• Availability to supervise practices and competitions during after-school hours and on weekends.

• Proven record of supporting and motivating others.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check.

• Completion of, or willingness to complete, VIRTUS Protecting God's Children training.
