Girls' High School Volleyball Coach

Our Lady of the Elms is seeking a dedicated, passionate, and experienced individual to join our athletic department as the Girls’ High School Volleyball Coach. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in volleyball, a commitment to developing student-athletes, and a focus on fostering an inclusive, positive team environment.

As the head coach, you will be responsible for leading the girls' volleyball program, fostering sportsmanship, developing athletic skills, and promoting a culture of teamwork and excellence. This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of our student athletes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement training plans and strategies for the volleyball team.
  • Lead practices, workouts, and team meetings.
  • Manage game day preparation, including team lineups and logistical coordination.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with athletes, parents, and staff.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
  • Ensure adherence to all school policies and OHSAA rules and regulations.
  • Monitor and support the academic progress of student athletes to ensure eligibility.
  • Maintain equipment and facilities and ensure the safety and well-being of athletes.
  • Assist with recruiting athletes and promoting the volleyball program within the school community.

Qualifications:

  • Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school or collegiate level.
  • Strong knowledge of volleyball rules, techniques, and strategies.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire athletes to reach their full potential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, parents, staff, and the broader community.
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude, with a focus on student athlete development.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to obtain other certifications as requested by the Athletic Director and/or Principal.

Contract Rate: $3,000
