Position Summary

Trinity High School, a Catholic co-educational high school in Garfield Heights, Ohio, is seeking a dynamic, creative, and passionate Graphic Design Instructor for the 2026–2027 school year.

This position offers the opportunity to inspire students through innovative design instruction while preparing them with the technical and creative skills needed for success in college and the professional world. The Graphic Design Instructor teaches three 90-minute class periods each semester and plays an integral role in Trinity's expanding Career and Technical Education (CTE) program.

Courses May Include

  • Web Publishing

  • Principles of Elements and Design

  • Introduction to Graphic Design

  • Advanced Graphic Design

  • Graphic Design Capstone

Position Responsibilities

Teachers at Trinity High School are expected to:

  • Support and model the Franciscan mission and Catholic values of Trinity High School and its sponsoring order, the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis.

  • Create engaging, student-centered learning experiences that challenge and inspire students with diverse learning styles and abilities.

  • Utilize current graphic design software, digital technologies, and industry best practices to prepare students for future educational and career opportunities.

  • Integrate instructional technology effectively into daily classroom instruction.

  • Assess student learning through meaningful and varied instructional strategies.

  • Foster the academic, spiritual, social, and emotional development of every student.

  • Communicate regularly and professionally with parents and guardians regarding student progress.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and school initiatives.

  • Demonstrate flexibility, professionalism, and a commitment to continuous professional and spiritual growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a closely related field required.

  • Prior teaching experience preferred but not required.

  • Proficiency with Apple systems, Adobe Creative Cloud applications, and current graphic design technologies preferred.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills.

  • Commitment to the mission of Catholic education.

Salary

Starting at $50,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Range

50,000.00 — 70,000
