Elyria Catholic High School

Theology Teacher & Service-Learning Formation Leader

Elyria Catholic High School is seeking a faith-filled educator to serve as a Theology Teacher and Service-Learning Formation Leader. This unique role combines classroom teaching with leadership of a mission-driven service program that helps students live our call to learn, worship, and serve. We welcome interest from educators who are passionate about forming young people in faith and connecting Gospel values to meaningful service in the community.

Position Overview

This position brings together classroom teaching and leadership of a vibrant, mission-driven service program that advances Elyria Catholic’s OCSAA Catholic Identity goal.

At Elyria Catholic, we are committed to ensuring that service becomes more than something students complete—it is something they come to live. This role plays a key part in bringing that vision to life, shaping a program rooted in Gospel values, enriched by reflection, and connected to meaningful community engagement.

The position includes both teaching and program leadership. The Theology assignment will typically include two to three class sections, with the balance of time dedicated to developing, coordinating, and strengthening the school’s service-learning program.

The Theology Teacher & Service-Learning Formation Leader collaborates closely with the Principal, Campus Ministry, the President, Theology faculty, administration, and community partners to advance opportunities for students to learn, worship, and serve.

Engagement in the life of the school extends beyond the classroom. Occasional evening and weekend involvement is expected, particularly in support of service initiatives, school events, and community partnerships.

Please note, this position is a combination of two part-time positions. The position will receive all the benefits of a full-time employee. The pay structure for the position is listed below.

  • PT Theology Teacher:
    • Contracted position.
    • Salary: $20,000 - $25,000/Year
  • PT Service-Learning Formation Leader:
    • At-Will Employment
    • $23 - $25/Hour
