The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA), approved by the USCCB and confirmed by the Apostolic See in 2024, is an updated translation of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). Mandatory use of this translation was Ash Wednesday, March 5, 2025.
In order to help those involved in the OCIA process with implementation at the parish level, the Diocese of Cleveland has offered several workshops throughout the diocese. A list of resources has been developed for those involved in OCIA ministry, with an additional list provided for OCIA Adapted for Children. Click here for the Office for Worship Resources page.
The FDLC has prepared a series of kits for development of OCIA teams. The Diocese of Cleveland has purchased these kits, which are available for use at any parish. Contact Mary Hrich for more information and access to these kits.
