Diocesan Revival: A Review

The first year of the Revival (June 19, 2022 – July 11, 2023) invited diocesan staff, bishops, and priests to respond to the Lord’s personal invitation to share this love with the faithful through Eucharistic congresses and events. Below are some highlights of initiatives from the diocesan revival.

Mass, procession, XLT, mark transition to diocesan Eucharistic Revival

Although the National Eucharistic Revival officially begins this weekend with the feast of Corpus Christi – the solemnity of the most holy body and blood of Christ – the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland started the process a week earlier on June 11.

After concluding the diocesan pre-synodal process with a daylong event that drew nearly 300 people to Cleveland’s Public Auditorium, all were invited to process to the nearby Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist for a Mass to open the revival.

As the three-year Eucharistic Revival takes hold locally, nationally and globally, a special Eucharistic Miracles exhibit is available in the Diocese of Cleveland to help the faithful develop a living relationship with Jesus in the Eucharist.

Eucharist Revival through billboards? How the Diocese of Cleveland is sharing Jesus with those in their region

During Advent (2022) and Lent (2023), the revival team rented 33 billboards in all 8 counties residing within the Diocese of Cleveland.  During Advent, the billboards featured quotes from saints about the Eucharist, while the Lenten campaign highlighted quotes from the faithful in the Diocese of Cleveland! They reveal the truth of Jesus, the Son of God and his true Presence in the Eucharist.  Our Sunday Visitor wrote about the campaign.
