50th Wedding Jubilee Mass

Join us in celebrating the gift of marriage at the annual 50th Wedding Jubilee Mass!

Couples celebrating 50 years of marriage or more are invited to gather with their families for this special diocesan celebration at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist. The 2027 50th Wedding Jubilee Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Michael G. Woost. We especially celebrate couples married in 1977 as they mark their Golden Jubilee, along with all couples celebrating more than 50 years of marriage.

All are welcome to attend, and no registration or tickets are required. Jubilarians are encouraged to invite family and friends to join them in celebrating this milestone.

Following Mass, couples will have an opportunity to take a photo with Bishop Woost. Families are also welcome to take their own photographs throughout the Cathedral. Please note that a professional photographer is not provided; Marriage and Family Ministry staff will be available to assist couples who do not have someone with them to take photos.

Accessible seating is available in the Cathedral. Parking is available in the surface lot off Rockwell Avenue and in the parking garage adjacent to the Cathedral.

Couples are also encouraged to contact their home parish about recognizing their jubilee locally through a special blessing at Mass, a parish bulletin announcement, or another appropriate celebration.
