We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Second Grade Teacher who is passionate about Catholic education and committed to helping students thrive in an urban school environment.
The Second Grade Teacher is responsible for creating a positive, engaging classroom where students are challenged academically and supported spiritually, socially, and emotionally. The teacher will provide instruction in core elementary subjects while fostering a love of learning and living out the mission of Catholic education.
Teach core elementary subjects, including Math, English Language Arts, Religion, Science, and Social Studies.
Create a safe, engaging, and student-centered classroom environment that promotes academic excellence and positive behavior.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Build positive relationships with students, parents, faculty, and staff.
Use assessment data to guide instruction and monitor student progress.
Maintain accurate classroom records, grades, and progress reports.
Support and promote the mission and values of St. Augustine School.
Collaborate with colleagues, participate in professional development, and fulfill other responsibilities as assigned by the principal.
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
Valid Ohio teaching license or certificate.
Ability to obtain Diocese of Cleveland Religion Certification.
Successful completion of BCI/FBI background checks.
Completion of VIRTUS Protecting God's Children training (or willingness to complete).
Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
Experience teaching at the elementary level.
Commitment to serving students in an urban Catholic school environment.
Proficiency with instructional technology and educational software.
Dedication to ongoing professional growth and collaboration.
