Classroom Aide

St. Barnabas School – Northfield, OH Early Childhood Education St. Barnabas School is seeking a warm, nurturing, and dependable Classroom Aide to support our learners. This part-time role is ideal for someone who finds joy in helping children grow academically, socially, and spiritually during their foundational years.

Key Responsibilities: Assist with classroom routines and transitions, including arrival, centers, and dismissal Provide hands-on support during lessons, play-based activities, and small-group instruction Foster a joyful, safe, and welcoming environment rooted in kindness and patience Support the teacher in organizing materials, preparing activities, and maintaining the classroom Help guide positive behaviors and model Christian values

Qualifications: Experience with young children (Pre-K to Grade 2) preferred Gentle, patient, and playful disposition Strong communication and teamwork skills High school diploma or equivalent required Must pass background checks and complete VIRTUS training through the Diocese of Cleveland
