Position Summary

Archbishop Hoban High School is seeking an experienced, relationship-focused Director of Alumni Relations to lead alumni engagement and strengthen lifelong connections with the Hoban community. The successful candidate will develop and implement programs, events, and communications that foster alumni involvement, encourage volunteerism, and support the school's mission and advancement efforts.

As a private Catholic high school rooted in the Holy Cross tradition, Archbishop Hoban is committed to educating the hearts and minds of students while cultivating a welcoming community grounded in faith, excellence, and lifelong learning.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to strengthen alumni engagement and participation.

  • Plan and coordinate alumni events, including reunions, Alumni Weekend, awards, and special recognition programs.

  • Create meaningful programming and outreach for young alumni.

  • Manage alumni communications through newsletters, email, social media, and other digital platforms.

  • Recruit, coordinate, and support alumni volunteers and advisory groups.

  • Maintain accurate alumni records and engagement data.

  • Identify new opportunities to expand alumni involvement and stewardship.

  • Assist with institutional advancement initiatives, special events, and fundraising activities.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Experience coordinating events and working with volunteers.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.

  • Successful completion of BCI/FBI background checks.

  • VIRTUS Protecting God's Children certification or willingness to complete training.

Preferred:

  • Experience in alumni relations, advancement, development, or nonprofit fundraising.

  • Experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge or a comparable donor management system.
