Position Summary

Lakewood Catholic Academy is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Teachers to join its Early Childhood Program. Assistant Teachers will help educate, nurture, and care for young children in the infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-kindergarten programs.

The Early Childhood Program is committed to providing a loving, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment where children are supported academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

This is a full-time, 12-month position.

Responsibilities

Assistant Teachers will:

  • Support the education, care, and nurturing of young children.

  • Help provide a safe, loving, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.

  • Support children's academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth.

  • Work effectively as part of a classroom team.

  • Contribute to a positive and supportive school culture.

  • Participate in continued professional growth and development.

Qualifications & Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Have or be willing to obtain VIRTUS training.

  • Have or be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR certification.

  • Have or be willing to obtain Medication training.

  • Have or be willing to obtain DCY School-Based Preschool Orientation Training.

  • Complete an FBI/BCI Background Check.
