Position: Full-Time | Non-Exempt
Reports To: Director of Facilities

Position Summary

Holy Family Parish & School is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and service-oriented individual to help maintain the church, school, buildings, and grounds. The Maintenance/Custodian position is responsible for keeping parish facilities clean, safe, and welcoming for students, staff, parishioners, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning and custodial duties throughout parish and school facilities.

• Assist with routine maintenance, repairs, and facility improvement projects.

• Set up and take down rooms for parish events, meetings, and activities.

• Move furniture, tables, chairs, and equipment as needed.

• Remove snow and ice from sidewalks and entrances.

• Assist with basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting repairs.

• Help maintain parish grounds through landscaping, litter removal, and seasonal upkeep.

• Respond to maintenance requests and other facility needs.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Pastor or Director of Facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• One to three years of custodial, maintenance, or facilities experience preferred.

• Dependable, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Flexible availability for occasional weekend and on-call work.

• Ability to perform physical duties, including lifting, carrying, bending, climbing, and working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Must pass the required background check and participate in the Diocesan Virtus program.

Compensation

Compensation will be based on experience.
