St. Vincent–St. Mary High School (STVM) is a Catholic, college-preparatory school with a strong tradition of academic excellence, faith formation, and student success. We are seeking a passionate and mission-driven Head Boys Lacrosse Coach to lead our program and develop student-athletes through strong coaching, mentorship, and faith-based leadership.
The Head Boys Lacrosse Coach is responsible for leading and developing the STVM Boys Lacrosse program in alignment with the school’s mission, values, and tradition of excellence. The coach will foster a culture of integrity, teamwork, academic achievement, sportsmanship, and personal growth while mentoring student-athletes on and off the field.
Lead and oversee all aspects of the boys lacrosse program, including team development, practices, competitions, and player growth.
Establish and communicate a program vision focused on discipline, teamwork, character, and excellence.
Develop practice plans, game strategies, conditioning programs, and player development opportunities.
Teach lacrosse fundamentals, skills, strategies, and sportsmanship.
Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback to support growth.
Promote academic accountability and ensure student-athletes meet OHSAA and STVM eligibility requirements.
Recruit, supervise, and mentor assistant coaches.
Promote collaboration and consistency among coaching staff.
Ensure compliance with STVM policies, OHSAA regulations, and all required coaching standards.
Coordinate scheduling, equipment, facilities, transportation, and team operations with the Athletic Department.
Maintain accurate records, rosters, equipment inventory, and required documentation.
Assist with fundraising efforts and booster organization activities as needed.
Serve as a positive role model and ambassador of STVM within the school and greater community.
Build strong relationships with student-athletes, families, alumni, and supporters.
Promote a culture of faith, humility, service, teamwork, and respect.
Encourage participation in school activities, service opportunities, and faith formation experiences.
Collaborate with school leadership to support enrollment, community engagement, and the overall STVM experience.
Required:
Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of St. Vincent–St. Mary High School.
Strong knowledge of lacrosse fundamentals, rules, and coaching strategies.
Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to mentor student-athletes and develop a positive team culture.
Current BCI/FBI background checks or willingness to obtain.
VIRTUS certification or willingness to complete.
CPR, First Aid, and required OHSAA coaching certifications prior to start.
Preferred:
Varsity, collegiate, or successful assistant coaching experience.
Proven ability to build and sustain a high-character, competitive program.
Bachelor’s degree.
