The Academy of Saint Bartholomew is a Catholic elementary school dedicated to nurturing students academically, spiritually, and socially in a faith-filled environment. We are seeking a caring, energetic, and collaborative Kindergarten Paraprofessional to support our youngest learners and assist the classroom teacher in creating a positive and engaging learning experience.
The Kindergarten Paraprofessional works closely with the classroom teacher to support daily instruction, classroom management, and student development. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, enjoys working with young children, and is committed to the mission and values of Catholic education.
Assist the classroom teacher with daily instruction and classroom management.
Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce classroom learning.
Prepare instructional materials, classroom resources, and learning activities.
Supervise students during lunch, recess, and selected specials.
Assist with attendance, grading, and other classroom records.
Support students with a variety of academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
Maintain confidentiality regarding student information.
Participate in school activities and perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
Ohio Educational Aide Permit (or ability to obtain one).
Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Ability to foster a positive, caring, and supportive classroom environment.
Successful completion of BCI/FBI background checks and required child protection training (including VIRTUS).
Previous experience working with elementary or early childhood students.
Experience supporting students with diverse learning and behavioral needs.
