Compensation: $19–$22 per hour, commensurate with experience

The Full-Time Maintenance/Custodian takes pride in creating clean, safe, and welcoming spaces where parishioners, students, staff, and visitors can worship, learn, and grow in faith.
Reporting to the Director of Facilities, this position is responsible for the cleaning, maintenance, and care of parish buildings and grounds. The Custodian plays an essential role in maintaining a safe, attractive, and functional environment throughout the church, school, and campus.
Perform assigned custodial duties throughout the church, school, and parish facilities.
Assist the Director of Facilities with general maintenance and repair projects.
Assist with room setup and teardown for parish events, meetings, and special functions.
Remove snow and ice from sidewalks, entrances, and other designated areas as needed.
Move furniture, equipment, tables, and chairs to support parish activities and events.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility needs.
Complete light maintenance and repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and painting as needed.
Maintain the appearance of parish grounds through landscaping assistance, litter removal, and seasonal maintenance.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Pastor or Director of Facilities.
High school diploma or equivalent.
One to three years of custodial, janitorial, maintenance, or facilities experience preferred.
Dependable and service-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexible availability for on-call weekends.
Must successfully pass a background check.
Must participate in the Diocesan VIRTUS program.
This position requires regular, rigorous physical activity and the ability to:
Safely lift and move up to 80 pounds occasionally.
Climb ladders while carrying up to 40 pounds.
Bend, kneel, reach, and climb stairs.
Comfortably navigate confined mechanical spaces.
Work indoors and outdoors in varying seasonal weather conditions.
Clear snow and perform other outdoor grounds-related duties as needed.
Move furniture, tables, chairs, and equipment for event setup and teardown.
$19–$22 per hour, commensurate with experience.
