Schedule: Tuesday & Wednesday | 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

POSITION SUMMARY

Assumption Academy is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, and faith-filled Part-Time Physical Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year.

The ideal candidate will create a positive and engaging learning environment that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyles while supporting the mission and values of our Catholic school community.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and deliver engaging physical education lessons for students in grades PK–8.

• Promote physical fitness, teamwork, cooperation, and lifelong healthy habits.

• Create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment for all students.

• Organize age-appropriate games and activities that develop motor skills, coordination, and teamwork.

• Supervise students and maintain a safe gymnasium and activity environment.

• Collaborate with faculty and administration to support student success and school initiatives.

• Uphold the mission and Catholic values of Assumption Academy.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or a related field.

• Valid Ohio teaching license or the ability to obtain appropriate licensure.

• Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.

• Previous teaching or coaching experience preferred.

• Practicing Catholic preferred but not required.

• Successful completion of, or willingness to complete, VIRTUS® Protecting God's Children training and all required background checks.

POSITION DETAILS

• Part-time position.

• Work schedule: Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 7:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
