St. Francis School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Pre-Kindergarten Teaching Assistant to support our early childhood classroom. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping young children learn and grow while embracing the mission and values of Catholic education.
The Teaching Assistant works closely with the lead teacher to create a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity, academic growth, and social-emotional development. This role includes supporting small-group instruction, assisting with classroom activities, and building strong relationships with students and families.
Support the lead teacher in planning and implementing engaging classroom activities.
Assist with small-group and one-on-one instruction to support student learning.
Help create a positive, organized, and nurturing classroom environment.
Encourage student growth academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
Assist with classroom routines, materials, and daily operations.
Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to support student success.
Participate in professional development opportunities.
Support the mission of St. Francis School by educating the whole child—mind, body, and spirit.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to support a positive and engaging learning environment.
Successful completion of required background checks.
Associate or bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
Experience working with preschool or elementary-aged children.
Experience supporting classroom instruction.
Ability to use educational technology effectively.
Commitment to ongoing professional growth.
Salary range: $20,000–$30,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
