St. Thomas Aquinas School is seeking a dedicated and faith-filled Religion Teacher to join our faculty. This position is available as a full-time role, with the possibility of a part-time appointment based on the qualifications and availability of the selected candidate.
We are looking for an educator who is committed to Catholic education, passionate about forming students in their faith, and dedicated to fostering academic excellence while helping students grow spiritually, intellectually, and morally.
Teach Religion curriculum in accordance with the teachings of the Catholic Church and diocesan standards.
Create a positive, faith-filled classroom environment that encourages student engagement and spiritual growth.
Foster students' understanding of Scripture, Catholic doctrine, prayer, and Christian discipleship.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Use assessments to monitor student progress and guide instruction.
Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
Collaborate with faculty to support curriculum planning and school initiatives.
Participate in school liturgies, prayer services, retreats, and other faith formation activities.
Maintain accurate grades, records, and regular communication with families.
Support the mission of St. Thomas Aquinas School by educating the whole child—mind, body, and spirit.
Practicing Catholic committed to the teachings and mission of the Catholic Church.
Bachelor's degree or higher.
Strong belief that every student can achieve at high levels.
Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families.
Successful completion of required background checks.
Experience teaching Religion or in Catholic education.
Knowledge of Catholic doctrine, Scripture, and catechetical instruction.
Proficiency with educational technology and digital learning tools.
Commitment to ongoing professional and spiritual growth.
St. Thomas Aquinas School offers a competitive salary based on experience and instructional effectiveness.
Early Career Teachers (0–3 years): Starting salary of $42,000 or higher, with opportunities to earn $50,000+ after three years.
Experienced Teachers: Competitive salary based on years of teaching and leadership experience, with compensation up to $73,140 for highly experienced educators.
Opportunities for advancement and salary increases every 3–5 years based on instructional excellence and mission alignment.
