Full-Time Parish Ministry & Development Position
St. Bernadette Parish is seeking a relationship-focused and mission-driven Stewardship & Development Coordinator to help foster a culture of gratitude, generosity, and stewardship throughout the parish community.
Working closely with the Pastor/Administrator, Director of Parish Operations, Principal, parish staff, and volunteers, the Coordinator will develop relationships with parishioners and benefactors while leading initiatives that strengthen the financial resources needed to support the parish's ministries and mission.
The successful candidate will combine strong relationship-building, communication, organizational, fundraising, and creative skills with a genuine commitment to the mission of the Catholic Church and St. Bernadette Parish.
Promote a culture of stewardship rooted in prayer, participation, service, and generosity.
Develop and implement parish stewardship initiatives and communications.
Encourage increased participation in electronic and recurring giving.
Clearly communicate how parishioner generosity supports the mission and ministries of the parish.
Develop giving-specific strategies for:
Weekly Offertory
Pious Trust
Perpetual Endowment
Develop strategies to increase parish giving and expand the parish donor base.
Research and implement best practices in Catholic stewardship and parish development.
Identify, cultivate, and steward major donors in collaboration with the Pastor/Administrator.
Build authentic, long-term relationships with parishioners, benefactors, and parish supporters.
Organize opportunities for the Pastor to meet personally with major donors and supporters.
Coordinate donor acknowledgements and expressions of gratitude.
Assist with diocesan campaigns, special projects, planned giving, and other development initiatives.
Maintain accurate and appropriate records of donors, gifts, and development activities.
Co-develop annual stewardship and development goals and measurable objectives with the Pastor/Administrator and Director of Parish Operations.
Track giving trends and provide regular reports to the Pastor.
Participate in staff meetings and parish planning as appropriate.
Monitor the effectiveness of stewardship and development initiatives and recommend improvements.
Create and design graphic and media materials for:
Presentations
Mailings
Flyers
Social media
Parish communications
Develop compelling communications that articulate the impact of parish giving and stewardship.
Utilize media production skills, including photography, video, podcasts, and other digital content as appropriate.
Collaborate with parish staff, school leadership, volunteers, and parish committees.
Support parish-wide initiatives that advance stewardship and development.
Perform other duties as assigned by parish leadership.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree.
Experience in fundraising, development, nonprofit management, communications, or a related field.
Experience developing donor and community relationships.
Experience with graphic design software such as Canva or comparable programs.
Experience with media production, including podcasts, video, and photography.

The Stewardship & Development Coordinator plays an important role in strengthening the parish's ability to serve its community. Through relationship-building, thoughtful communication, donor stewardship, and strategic development efforts, this position helps parishioners recognize that their gifts of time, talent, and treasure directly support the Church's mission and ministries.
$20/hour — $30/hour
