POSITION SUMMARY

Archbishop Lyke School is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Full-Time Teaching Assistant to join our faculty. We are looking for individuals who share an unwavering commitment to raising student achievement while embracing the Catholic culture, identity, and values that are central to our mission.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with classroom teachers to create a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment that supports the academic, social, and spiritual development of every student.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the lead teacher in creating a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment.

• Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce instruction and promote academic success.

• Foster the intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual growth of students in support of the school's mission.

• Assist in monitoring student progress and supporting classroom performance goals.

• Build positive relationships with students while encouraging responsibility, confidence, and achievement.

• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student learning and school-wide initiatives.

• Participate in professional development opportunities and implement best practices in the classroom.

• Perform other duties as assigned to support the needs of the school.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.

• Minimum of one year of childcare or classroom experience preferred.

• Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.

• Belief that all students can learn and succeed.

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

• Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.

• Technology proficiency and willingness to learn new instructional tools.

• Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and follow through effectively.

• Willingness to accept feedback and engage in continuous professional growth.

• Successful completion of all required background checks.
