Position Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour
St. Francis of Assisi School is seeking a dependable, caring, and enthusiastic Third-Grade Teacher’s Aide to support student learning and help create a positive, organized classroom environment.
The Teacher’s Aide will work alongside the classroom teacher to reinforce instruction, assist students individually and in small groups, encourage positive learning habits, and help maintain an orderly classroom that supports students’ academic and personal growth.
Assist with Classwork: Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce concepts taught by the classroom teacher and provide additional practice as directed.
Support Instruction: Move throughout the classroom during lessons and independent work to monitor student understanding, provide assistance, and encourage participation.
Keep Students on Task: Help students stay focused, follow directions, complete assignments, and use classroom time effectively.
Promote Student Independence: Encourage students to attempt tasks independently and use problem-solving strategies before offering assistance.
Support Small-Group Learning: Assist with teacher-directed small-group activities, interventions, review lessons, and enrichment activities.
Grade Papers: Grade assignments and assessments as directed by the teacher, following established guidelines. Communicate questions or concerns about student performance to the teacher.
Prepare Materials: Help prepare, organize, distribute, and collect classroom materials, assignments, and learning activities.
Maintain Classroom Organization: Help keep the classroom orderly, support transitions between activities, and organize learning materials.
Encourage Positive Learning Habits: Provide encouragement and constructive reminders that reinforce classroom expectations, responsibility, and respect.
Hold an appropriate aide license.
Have approved BCI and FBI background checks.
Complete VIRTUS safe-environment training and meet applicable diocesan requirements.
Demonstrate patience, dependability, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
Enjoy working with children and supporting their academic and personal growth.
Work collaboratively and professionally with the classroom teacher and school staff.
Days: Monday–Friday
Hours: 8:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
Compensation: $18.50 per hour
