Lights, camera, action! The second edition of “Lunchtime Live,” a production of the Diocese of Cleveland Communications Department, hit social media on Oct. 9. Hosted by Brooke Uehlein, the program featured Frank O’Linn, secretary for education and superintendent of schools for the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland.
What made the broadcast even more special was that it originated in the Kathleen Cochrane DePiero Broadcast Studio at St. Albert the Great at Assumption Academy in Broadview Heights. The student crew from the school’s Viking AM news ran the show -- from camera operation and floor direction to graphics and production.
O’Linn discussed a variety of education issues from the Better Together initiative for exceptional learners to suggesting funding sources for parents to help send their children to a Catholic school. The episode is available below. In addition, O’Linn also spoke about his own spirituality and the importance of prayer and living out one’s faith.
The next edition of “Lunchtime Live” is scheduled for the noon hour on Wednesday, Dec. 4 and will feature Bishop Nelson Perez discussing the season of Advent.
