‘Divine Mercy’ Cleveland Catholic Women’s Conference set for Oct. 9

The third Cleveland Catholic Women’s Conference returns Oct. 9 as an in-person event at the Hilton Garden Inn in Mayfield. Social distancing protocols will be available in the venue as women from across the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland gather to pray, connect and inspire one another.

“Divine Mercy: The more a soul trusts, the more it will receive,” is the 2021 conference theme. Through worship, prayer and reflection, the conference is designed to enrich the lives of women and inspire them to grow in relationship with the Lord and in community.

“Giving women the opportunity to spend a day learning, and meeting with other women will surely enhance our thriving Cleveland Catholic community,” said Jennifer Ricard, executive director of the conference and Theology of the Body Cleveland.

The day will begin with Sarah Swafford, founder of Emotional Virtue Ministries, who will speak about interior confidence, emotional virtue and relationships. Mother Jeanette Marie Estrada, a Mercedarian Sister of the Blessed Sacrament, will follow Swafford before attendees gather for Mass celebrated by Bishop Edward Malesic.

In addition, participants will have an opportunity for the sacrament of reconciliation, Eucharistic adoration, discussion and group prayer. Husband and wife duo Kira and Jeff Andrea of Cuyahoga Falls will provide music throughout the day.

“One of the best ways to see the true beauty of our Catholic faith is to take the time to listen to God speaking to us through the Mass, adoration, confession, excellent speakers and conversations with other faithful women. This conference aims to center women in Christ. By reaching out for him, he will provide and enrich our lives” Ricard said.

Registration is closed, but highlights from the conference will be posted throughout the day on the conference social media channels.
