Watch your mailbox for the new, July/August issue of Northeast Ohio Catholic magazine, the largest diocesan magazine in the country. It’s on the way to households across the eight-county Catholic Diocese of Cleveland.
The cover features an image of a monstrance as part of a package on the recently launched Eucharistic Revival, with Bishop-elect Michael Woost offering insight on the Eucharist. In the Last Word column, diocesan archivist Emily Ahlin shares information on the 1935 Eucharistic Congress that took place in Cleveland.
In addition, readers can learn about “Lord, I am not Worthy,” a special Communion hymn written by newly ordained diocesan priest Father Joe Menkhaus, his siblings and a seminary classmate. There’s even a link to a video about the song, including a performance. Click here for more on the new hymn.
Bishop Edward Malesic welcomes Bishop-elect Woost in his “From the Bishop” column and the new bishop talks about preparation for his episcopal ordination
The Culture feature tells the story of how incarcerated men at the Grafton Correctional Institution planted a large garden and plan to donate the produce to Catholic Charities to help those in need.
The new issue also has the latest information on the Angel Scholarship Fund and how it’s helping to keep Catholic education affordable, a wrap-up of the recently concluded diocesan synod and a recap of this spring’s priestly and diaconal ordinations, as well as what to expect as The FEST returns to the Center for Pastoral Leadership for the first time since 2019.
Regular features -- News Briefs, Things to Do, In Memoriam, Clergy Assignment Changes and In the Know with Father Joe – are included, as well.
