Cleveland, OH – On Holy Thursday, April 2, many churches throughout the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland will remain open until 11 p.m. for people to come and worship the Eucharist. Seven churches in the Cleveland area are within walking distance of each other, and the Office of Evangelization is encouraging young adults to walk together and visit these churches on a “Holy Night Hike” Thursday evening.
According to Vicar for Evangelization Father Damian Ference, the goal is to have 1,000 young adults participate. Per Fr. Ference, “You Don’t Have to be Catholic, a practicing Catholic, or even believe in God to participate! We invite you to join us.”
The pilgrimage/hike can begin at any of the churches listed below:
In addition, Saint Ignatius High School's St. Mary of the Assumption Chapel will also be open for adoration.
Fr. Damian encourages participants to follow the Holy Night Hike hashtag and post their pictures at #HolyNightHike on social media.
