Father Joshua Trefney concluded his assignment as administrator of St. Gabriel Parish, Concord Township, and he was appointed pastor of St. Gabriel Parish, Concord Township, effective Sept. 15.
Father Anthony J. Schuerger was granted senior priest-retired status in the Diocese of Cleveland, effective Sept. 1.
Deacon Lawrence A. Somrack concluded his diaconal assignment at St. Helen Parish, Newbury, and he was granted retirement status as a deacon of the Diocese of Cleveland, effective Sept. 15.
Deacon Scott T. Proper was appointed as deacon of St. Anthony of Padua Parish, Akron, and deacon of St. John the Baptist Parish, Akron, effective Sept. 1.
Father William Mcintyre, OFM, with permission from the Very Rev. Michael A. Perry, OFM, provincial minister of Franciscan Friars, Province of Our Lady of Guadalupe, was granted faculties of the Diocese of Cleveland to continue his role as vice president of mission and ministry at Padua Franciscan High School and to exercise priestly ministry, including hearing confessions and celebrating Mass in English and Spanish, in the Cleveland area parishes, effective Aug. 30 for a period of one year.
Father Hieromonk Seoirse, with the permission of the Very Rev. Iuliu Vasile Muntean, JCL, vicar general of the Eparchy of Saint George in Canton, was granted faculties in the Diocese of Cleveland to exercise priestly ministry and to celebrate Mass at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish/The Lyceum in South Euclid for a period of one year beginning Aug. 1.
