The Secretariat for Catechetical Formation and Parish Life supports the work of the diocese and parishes by nurturing faith communities, forming missionary disciples and proclaiming the Gospel.
The secretariat is divided into ministry teams to better serve the faithful.
We are blessed in our diocese with a rich cultural diversity including Asian, Black Catholic and Hispanic ministry.
The mission of catechetical formation is to assist parishes in the teaching of the Gospel message by passing on our faith and traditions through Parish Schools of Religion (PSR), Religious Certification Processes, The Culture Project, Lay Ecclesial Ministry and Missionary Discipliship.
The Office of Marriage and Family Ministry and the Office for Human Life offers a range of services and resources to respond to the needs of individuals, couples, and families.
Our ministries with youth and young adults offer training, support, resources and\nconsultation services for pastoral leaders and ministry coordinators, as well as direct\nministry and leadership development opportunities for young people.
