The Life Teen movement consists of resources that provide solid Catholic teaching and youth ministry experiences for youth in middle school through high school so you can spend less time at your desk and more time ministering to teens.

The goal of Life Teen and Edge is to provide a safe and fun place for youth to find a solid Catholic community, get answers to their questions, and, most importantly, to experience Jesus in a profound and personal way. We give you a playbook to create the youth ministry you’ve always wanted. Our resources empower you and your core team to evangelize teens into life-long disciples. And we’re not the new kids on the block. We’ve been supporting youth ministers like you for nearly four decades. We’ve learned some things along the way and want to share them with you.

Our resources are offered as a subscription so that parishes have the tools to address the needs of teenagers today – not five years ago.

Independent Ministry - Helping Catholic youth ministry leaders thrive. Offerings include: CYM Live; Catholic Youth Ministry Discussion Group on Facebook; and Thrive - an online community of Catholic youth workers created by Catholic youth workers.

Originally founded by youth, Torchbearer Ministries empowers teenagers to fall in love with the beauty of Christ and His Church, and to live their lives as a reflection of that love in their world.​ Our programs go all-in on small group conversation, featuring no videos and no formal “teaching.” This encourages teens to discover their approach to life with the Church as a guide - and with 84 standalone lessons, you can customize Ignite to tackle the topics your teens want to talk about!

YDisciple is a toolbox of training resources for adults and teaching resources for teens specifically designed with small groups in mind. And because YDisciple is largely digital it can work whether your small groups meet in person or online.

These resources include not only the highest caliber videos for young people but also leader guides to help adults facilitate meaningful discussion, participant guides to help teens grasp key concepts, and parent resources (in English & Spanish) to encourage parents to stay engaged.

YDisciple isn’t just another video resource. We understand that programs don’t make disciples. Only a disciple can. That’s why YDisciple couples video resources with extensive training and support for leaders.

Justice for Immigrants (JFI) has developed a series of resources highlighting his commentary on this issue, including a discussion guide for use with immigration-focused and parish teams.

Amoris Laetitia is the result of Pope Francis' prayerful reflection on the discussions and outcomes of two synods of bishops held in Rome: an Extraordinary Synod in 2014, and an Ordinary Synod in 2015, both on the topic of marriage and the family. The exhortation is meant to share with the Church the Holy Father's teaching and encouragement regarding pastoral ministry to families, and what marriages and families are called to at this time in history

Benedict XVI's first encyclical derived from St. John Paul II's writings. This document puts "love" in a Christian context, examining eros, agape, and philia, and relates them to the love Christ has for the Church. Suggested for all young people, but especially engaged and married couples.

Pope Francis's first apostolic exhortation. Francis inspires the "New Evangelization" generation with this document by asking the Church to "go out" in "missionary joy." This is a must-read.

On Care for Our Common Home (Laudato Si') is the new appeal from Pope Francis addressed to "every person living on this planet" for an inclusive dialogue about how we are shaping the future of our planet. Pope Francis calls the Church and the world to acknowledge the urgency of our environmental challenges and to join him in embarking on a new path. This encyclical is written with both hope and resolve, looking to our common future with candor and humility.

Renewing the Vision: A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry builds on the fine tradition begun by the 1976 document, A Vision of Youth Ministry. To respond to the new challenges and opportunities of our day the Catholic bishops of the United States offer this document as a blueprint for the continued development of effective ministry with young and older adolescents.

In 1996, on the eve of the third millennium, the bishops of the United States promulgated "Sons and Daughters of the Light," a document on pastoral ministry to young adults. Young adults, who range from 18-39 years of age, make up a large part of the Church and have the potential to contribute greatly toward the Christian mission. Noting that outreach to young adults has been largely neglected in the past, and that young adults provide a valuable and unique perspective to and for ministry that must be seriously considered, the U.S. bishops aimed to create a strategic plan to integrate young adults into the life of the Church in America, by taking into careful consideration the various stages of life and circumstances in which young adults find themselves.
