Part-Time | School-Year Position
Padua Franciscan High School is seeking reliable, safety-conscious School Bus Drivers to transport students to and from school, field trips, athletic events, and other school-sponsored activities. This part-time, school-year position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to serve students in a faith-filled educational community.
Drivers play an essential role in ensuring students travel safely while representing the values and mission of Padua Franciscan High School through professionalism, courtesy, and care.
Reports To: Director of Transportation
Drivers are encouraged to work several days each week.
Typical shifts include:
Morning Routes: Monday–Friday, approximately 6:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.
Afternoon/Evening Trips: Monday–Friday, generally between 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Occasional Saturdays: Transportation for Padua-sponsored events
Hours: Approximately 10–30 hours per week
Safely transport students to and from school, field trips, athletic contests, and extracurricular activities.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Follow all Ohio Department of Education, state, and school transportation regulations.
Maintain a safe, orderly, and respectful environment on the school bus.
Communicate professionally with students, parents, faculty, and staff.
Report safety concerns, maintenance issues, accidents, or incidents promptly.
Represent Padua Franciscan High School with professionalism and integrity.
Valid Ohio Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
Current Ohio Department of Education (ODE) Pre-Service Certificate.
Successful completion of BCI/FBI background checks.
Successful drug screening.
No more than four points on driving record.
Valid T-8 physical examination.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to lift 75 pounds in an emergency if necessary.
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Willingness to complete VIRTUS Protecting God's Children training.
One year of school bus driving experience.
Candidates who do not yet possess all required certifications are encouraged to apply and discuss available pathways to qualification.

Eligible children of school-year part-time employees receive a 15% tuition subsidy at Padua Franciscan High School and remain eligible for additional scholarships and tuition discounts offered by the school.
